Hello everybody. Wanted to get some advice on getting a camera. I am saving up for a 3 year trip around the world and would really like to document my travels with a good camera and possibly do a short film. The thing is all the camera’s I want are way over my price range, which is around 400 dollars, so I want to find something thats cheap but also takes great pics and video. Need your help!!!

If you can afford it I would recommend getting a GoPro and maybe some sort of Stills camera to go with it.

Your going around the world for 3 years!
You need to invest a little more cash into documenting this! You’ll regret it if you aren’t able to capture those memories!

The GoPro is small and light enough you can video anything anytime. heck you could strap it to your head while on a hike.

What ever Stills camera you go for needs to be pretty rugged as well. Something like the olympus stylus tough is a great and inexpensive camera.

(actually that might even keep things close to your $400 mark, except it’s two cameras)
