hey guy. personally i have a Audio Technica AT897. which you can get for $230 or so(http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=300615&is=REG&Q=&A=details).
but remember you will want a dead cat, a wind screen, and a way to record. one option is to plug the mic into a XLR-8th Inch cable adapter (which can be cheap)
or to buy a separate audio recorder like the tascam DR-40 (http://www.amazon.com/DR-40-4-Track-Portable-Digital-Recorder/dp/B005NACC6M) which is $160 or so. honestly though audio is more important than anything else really. so its worth the cash
